The Cafe by the Creek is located on Oare Creek. We offer a wide range of hot and cold drinks along with light lunches and homemade cakes and bakes. We also offer afternoon tea with pre-booking.
The area surrounding Oare Creek is great for getting out and about and is very popular with walkers, cyclists, and bird watchers. We are dog-friendly so why not bring along your furry friend and explore the area.
We offer freshly made sandwiches and homemade soup, the flavours of which will vary day to day. In addition, we have a tried and tested selection of paninis and toasties available daily. Plus our very popular cakes, baked goods and scones, all prepared in our cafe kitchen.
Cakes can be purchased on our website and require a 72 hour lead time. Cakes requiring postage need to be ordered by Saturday noon for the following Wednesday postage. Please contact us for any special orders.
The Youngs have been at Oare Creek since 1974, it began with the boatyard where ‘Youngboats’ was born. The idea of opening a cafe at the boatyard was first raised in 2016. Building work commenced at the start of 2018 and the Cafe opened in March 2020.
